LESS IS MORE!

If only all of us lived by this term the world would have been a better place. In the world today, when I look around, everybody is in a race to acquire more and more - more of wealth, power, fame, technology, etc.

And in this process many of us are left feeling dejected and depressed, when our desires are not fulfilled.

We are all influenced by the thought ‘more the merrier’ so much, that we don’t know when to stop. This thought makes sense but in the long run it doesn’t work.

It becomes quite essential, to eliminate out the things that we don’t need, to enjoy fully what we have.

When you have too many friends in life, you feel good. But what happens is, you end up making someone or the other sad. It becomes difficult to please everyone.

On the other hand, if u have only a few really close friends you can catch up with them, have a good time and create beautiful memories. You know they are going to be there for you and vice versa.

Lesser the friends, more strong is the bond shared.

Most of us, I mean we women, have this one problem every morning. We don’t know what to wear!

The closet is overflooded with clothes, every alternate week we make odd purchases, still every morning the biggest issue is what to wear?!

This issue arises because we have too many options to choose from. Secondly most of the clothes are not in wearable condition. Had there been fewer clothes, a lot of our time would have been saved.

Hence, lesser the clothes you have, you have more things to wear.

The same thing applies when it comes to sleep. Scientists have proved that the quantity of sleep is not important, the quality is!

It means good sleep for few hours is more than sufficient to feel refreshed.

But we believe sleeping more is good, not realizing that the more we sleep, the more lazy we become, and sleeping in excess makes us obese.

On the contrary, good sleep for few hours makes us more productive and efficient throughout the day.

This concept of ‘less is more’ can be applied in all aspects of our life. For that, it’s important to know our priorities.

The more we chase unimportant things in life, the more we lose out on the important things.Hence, lesser the things we have at hand, more we can focus on it.

Lesser will be our Worries and more will be our Prosperity!

MONDAY BLUES

Most of us are familiar with this term. Especially the ‘working class people’. Earlier when I wasn’t working and chilling at home I would often wonder what is the hype about Monday being boring?

Infact, I would laugh at the posts in my news feed on facebook regarding Monday.

Then, I had not come to terms of waking up early and leaving for work only to realise that everything would be slow on a Monday as opposed to a Friday ‘if you know what I mean’.

So what happens on a Monday ?

According to me,
Monday is that day of the week which just doesn’t seem to pass. Every time I glance at the time on my screen, hoping a lot of time has passed, I only realise a few minutes have passed.

And I make a sad face each time.

Whether it is while working, or for that matter even the lunch break.

After every little while I feel as though I have completed a great deal of work and the day would be over soon, but then as I glance again at the time I’m disappointd to know there is still more than half of the day yet to get over!

Now the thing that I’m intrigued about, is why don’t I feel the same on the other days? It’s the same number of hours, same routine, same place, almost the same work.

I guess that is what happens after a break of two days. But after the break, aren’t we supposed to be more energetic and refreshed?
Most certainly the answer is yes but what happens is exactly the opposite!
Why is that?

Our STATE of mind always depends upon the next thing that is going to happen. So if after Monday the next day is a HOLIDAY we are bound to feel happy the entire day.

This is also the reason on Friday, the day seems to get over faster because you know you are going to have two days of awesomeness.

When you look forward to something interesting to happen your mood, your mind is automatically charged up and you are in a bright and happy mood.

Making Mondays happier

1. When you are leaving for work on Monday, tell yourself today is going to be an awesome day. And you’ll see the difference! If you set out on a dull note you can predict your day to be the same.

2. Dress well. When you feel good about yourself, automatically you feel charged up. So wear your favourite outfit on Monday.

3. Last but not the least SMILE. Have fun at work. This will help you in moving about the day quickly.

Have a lovely week ahead!
