LESS IS MORE!

If only all of us lived by this term the world would have been a better place. In the world today, when I look around, everybody is in a race to acquire more and more - more of wealth, power, fame, technology, etc.

And in this process many of us are left feeling dejected and depressed, when our desires are not fulfilled.

We are all influenced by the thought ‘more the merrier’ so much, that we don’t know when to stop. This thought makes sense but in the long run it doesn’t work.

It becomes quite essential, to eliminate out the things that we don’t need, to enjoy fully what we have.

When you have too many friends in life, you feel good. But what happens is, you end up making someone or the other sad. It becomes difficult to please everyone.

On the other hand, if u have only a few really close friends you can catch up with them, have a good time and create beautiful memories. You know they are going to be there for you and vice versa.

Lesser the friends, more strong is the bond shared.

Most of us, I mean we women, have this one problem every morning. We don’t know what to wear!

The closet is overflooded with clothes, every alternate week we make odd purchases, still every morning the biggest issue is what to wear?!

This issue arises because we have too many options to choose from. Secondly most of the clothes are not in wearable condition. Had there been fewer clothes, a lot of our time would have been saved.

Hence, lesser the clothes you have, you have more things to wear.

The same thing applies when it comes to sleep. Scientists have proved that the quantity of sleep is not important, the quality is!

It means good sleep for few hours is more than sufficient to feel refreshed.

But we believe sleeping more is good, not realizing that the more we sleep, the more lazy we become, and sleeping in excess makes us obese.

On the contrary, good sleep for few hours makes us more productive and efficient throughout the day.

This concept of ‘less is more’ can be applied in all aspects of our life. For that, it’s important to know our priorities.

The more we chase unimportant things in life, the more we lose out on the important things.Hence, lesser the things we have at hand, more we can focus on it.

Lesser will be our Worries and more will be our Prosperity!

MONDAY BLUES

Most of us are familiar with this term. Especially the ‘working class people’. Earlier when I wasn’t working and chilling at home I would often wonder what is the hype about Monday being boring?

Infact, I would laugh at the posts in my news feed on facebook regarding Monday.

Then, I had not come to terms of waking up early and leaving for work only to realise that everything would be slow on a Monday as opposed to a Friday ‘if you know what I mean’.

So what happens on a Monday ?

According to me,
Monday is that day of the week which just doesn’t seem to pass. Every time I glance at the time on my screen, hoping a lot of time has passed, I only realise a few minutes have passed.

And I make a sad face each time.

Whether it is while working, or for that matter even the lunch break.

After every little while I feel as though I have completed a great deal of work and the day would be over soon, but then as I glance again at the time I’m disappointd to know there is still more than half of the day yet to get over!

Now the thing that I’m intrigued about, is why don’t I feel the same on the other days? It’s the same number of hours, same routine, same place, almost the same work.

I guess that is what happens after a break of two days. But after the break, aren’t we supposed to be more energetic and refreshed?
Most certainly the answer is yes but what happens is exactly the opposite!
Why is that?

Our STATE of mind always depends upon the next thing that is going to happen. So if after Monday the next day is a HOLIDAY we are bound to feel happy the entire day.

This is also the reason on Friday, the day seems to get over faster because you know you are going to have two days of awesomeness.

When you look forward to something interesting to happen your mood, your mind is automatically charged up and you are in a bright and happy mood.

Making Mondays happier

1. When you are leaving for work on Monday, tell yourself today is going to be an awesome day. And you’ll see the difference! If you set out on a dull note you can predict your day to be the same.

2. Dress well. When you feel good about yourself, automatically you feel charged up. So wear your favourite outfit on Monday.

3. Last but not the least SMILE. Have fun at work. This will help you in moving about the day quickly.

Have a lovely week ahead!

STARTING FROM THE SCRATCH

Today I am standing exactly where I was two years ago. This day, I realise I have been such a fool.

Presently, my mind is taken over completely by so many thoughts. It has been difficult to be at peace. And calming my mind seems completely impossible.

It feels like I’m running out of time. And I need to be quick and catch up with things. I know this is just a phase and it will pass. But when it will happen is not yet known.

People around me have a goal, a vision, life plan and when I look at them I feel blank. I am totally clueless.

I have been trying to figure out for the past four years what I want in life. Out of which, two years of my life, I have wasted doing a job which gave me good money but no growth.

As a result I have been nothing but unproductive. The feeling of looser was just creeping in and as  I was contemplating about life and things related I came across a very beautiful line which read as follows
“I either win or learn, I never lose”

This thought gave me a kickstart and I started retrospecting my life. I have not yet lost and I still have time to pull up my socks, learn from my mistakes and chase my goal.

I always knew what I wanted but I lacked confidence. I always tried to live life pleasing others. I have tried to always be laid back considering the fact that people will judge me.

I never put my foot forward. I always waited, waited for the right moment only to realise there is nothing as such. And waiting for the perfect time I lost out on a lot of time.

So here I am deciding to start a fresh with my career, with an aim of being a CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT, a successful one and living the dream of being an AMAZING YOUTUBER.

I know the path is not gonna be easy but I am going to start my journey. I will have to start from the scratch. But it is better late than never. It is rightly said ‘if you can dream you can achieve it’.

So I am commencing this journey on a positive note promising myself to be completely and totally dedicated towards my target and explore the world, learning, teaching and enjoying along the way completely oblivious to the next thing in life but staying focused!

Keep smiling.

A LETTER TO SELF

Dear Me,
You are a great and an amazing person. You are a bundle of talent and creativity. You have got the perfect face, hair, body, beauty. Don’t worry too much about your appearance. These are petite issues to which you shall definitely find a solution. You have to make an impression in this world by your deeds. You have to make your mark. So work hard towards it.

Don’t underestimate yourself. Be courageous and move forward in life. Don’t sulk around with whatever has happened. Past is just a story that we tell ourselves. Future is to be created and your life is in your hands. DO NOT let other people CONTROL YOUR LIFE. Do not let people decide what is good or bad, right or wrong for you.

Many people may come and go but the true ones will always stay in your life. Do not ignore your parents. You may find them annoying right now but eventually you will realise they were always right. Mom and dad always want the best for you. So love them. Love them unconditionally without any expectations.

Challenge yourself. Take responsibility. Set goals. Follow your passion. Don’t settle down until you find what you love. You are the only one who knows what you love and if you want to be happy in life DO WHAT YOU LOVE. It will give you immense joy. Don’t go chasing money. Let it chase you. Strive for perfection. Compete with yourself. BE BETTER TODAY THAN YESTERDAY.

Don’t be afraid to express yourself. Don’t be afraid to try new things. Don’t be afraid of people judging you. They will interfere time and again in your life. That is how the society works. Ignore them. You are what you think of yourself and that is what matters. Do not be afraid of committing mistakes. You will learn from them. Besides, NOBODY IS PERFECT.

Stand up for what you feel is right. Crying is not the solution to any problem, so don’t waste those precious tears. Speak up whenever you feel the need to. Don’t keep mum. Don’t expect people to understand you. You have to be vocal about your thoughts, emotions and feelings. Don’t ever wait for the right time. There is no such thing as the right time. There is only NOW. So do not procrastinate.

Each and every day of your life comes with great opportunities. Grab them. There would be downfall as well. Don’t be disheartened. Embrace failure. It is your stepping stone to success. Don’t waste your time sleeping, I know you love your beauty sleep way too much. But remember wasted time never returns. And besides when you are dead you have plenty of time to sleep. DON’T LET THINGS HAPPEN, MAKE THINGS HAPPEN

So wake up. Chase your dreams. Trust your instincts. Read more often. Learn something new everyday. Make new friends. Make your living worthwhile. Spread happiness and joy wherever you go. You can achieve everything in life that you desire, if you believe in yourself. Do not forget to love yourself. Don’t be too hard on yourself. Life is a beautiful journey.

And last but not the least NEVER GIVE UP! Always keep smiling!

CONFUSION

Is being confused a good thing or a bad thing? Does it make you a better person or worse?

Confusion is not always between right or wrong, good or bad or other contrasts. Real confusion is to choose between good and better.

Confusion creeps up from lack of confidence and insecurities. We always want more not realising what we have to sacrifice for that 'more'.

Temptations are always very enticing and your mind is indecisive about walking out of your comfort zone or staying back in the shell.

Undertaking risk is profitable only if u know how to play it. So the question arises if i know how to play it. But if I was confident about how to play it, how to go about it, I wouldn't have been confused in the first place.

Hence, confusion arises when we are unsure about things. There's confusion whether to go for it or stay back.

So how do we overcome this confusion?Whenever you are confused go for something which is more risky because if it works you are successful and if it doesn't work you know your mistakes and you can learn from it.

Oh wait! Are we scared of committing mistakes? Or scared that we are letting go of something precious? Or scared of facing regret in the future?

Oh this confusion never ends! The more I think the more complicated it gets.I don't know if that even made sense. But no matter what state of mind you are in - SMILE.

It may not help you to choose things but it'll definitely help you feel good. Besides what's the big deal about being confused! No human is perfect. So keep smiling and live life to the fullest :)
